Housing Worker x 2

£17,428 per annum pro rata

6 Months Fixed Term Contract

We need two dedicated and innovative Housing Workers to join the Team to provide a direct housing service to vulnerable young people aged 16 – 25. You will assist young people to move on to independent living including referral management, initial assessments, upholding of house rules, benefit support, budgeting and life skills support.
As part of your role, you will also undertake reception duties.  You will act as the main point of contact for all City YMCA, London stakeholders and fulfil residents, catering and conference users, contractor and visitor’s needs/ requirements.



Weekend Porter

£7.26 per hour

6 Month Fixed Term

Weekend Porter - (Sat & Sun, 12 hours)

We are recruiting a weekend porters to undertake weekend shifts to join our team at our Errol Street hostel which houses up to 116 residents.

The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective cleaning service and providing frontline support assessing and reporting on health and safety and security services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning of the reception areas, communal areas and offices in the hostel.
  • Maintain high quality cleaning services which meet the needs of the service users through following cleaning specifications.
  • Ensure that conference rooms are set up according to conferencing requirements and the general relocation of furniture & equipment is carried out.
  • Communicate any issues/support requirements that are identified for the residents.
  • Use appropriate reporting procedures for stock management, Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, COSHH compliance, maintenance needs & reporting any incidents/security concerns.

Accept external deliveries as well as deliver them to internal service users whilst ensuring that recording procedures are followed.
