Volunteering is the backbone of a charity. We are always looking for volunteers to join our teams and help support homeless young people. One off opportunities are currently more difficult for us to manage but people who would like to give a little time each month or each week are invaluable.
Mars UK recently painted a corridor. Lloyds did some gardening. Buzzacott LLP wrapped presents. Two young people currently volunteer as Interns, one a student from Italy and the other, one of our own residents.
It costs just £5 to feed one of our 87 homeless young people for a day.
To 'parent' a young homeless person costs us £220 a month. That means giving them the confidence to create a future that they choose rather than one that's forced upon them. Providing some of things that you and I take for granted – food, warmth and shelter - as well as skills that they have missed out on to make them employable.
98% of our income goes on supporting homeless young people rather than overhead costs, a record that we are quite proud about.
Your donation will help us change a young person's life. You can give on a regular basis or make a one off donation.
